Hgoug’s story

In January 2009 13 year old keen footballer Hgoug was shot in the leg [by a helicopter gunship]  whilst helping his father in his olive grove.

They managed to flag down a car on a nearby road and were taken to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis were his shattered leg was stabilised with an external fixator and his wound cleaned.

In March 2010 Dr Suheal met Hgoug and planned to address the infected open wound and applied a Taylor Spatial frame (TSF).

The frame was placed and adjusted over 6 months regenerating and repositioning his bone to allow complete healing before removal and his leg placed in a plaster cast for 6 weeks.

On removal of the plaster cast physical therapy restored function and now Hgoug is back to playing football again.
