Gaza 2009-2010
MIST entered Gaza within 2 weeks of the unilateral ceasefire in January 2009 for 10 days initially followed by a 1 year sabbatical.

Following the 2008-2009 attack on Gaza, MIST Foundation sent a number of teams to help treat the injured Gazans.
In 2010, the Director, Suheal Khan spent a sabbatical year in the Gaza Strip as Head of Orthopaedics at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. During this year, Suheal taught and trained the local surgeons in the art of Ilizarov surgery and perfomed many cases of limb deformity, infection and mal-unions of fractures.
