On the 8th October 2005 an earthquake lasting 73 seconds left over 73,000 people dead, 120,000 injured and 3.5 million homeless.

With its epicentre in the foothills of the Himalayas, some 30 miles north east of the city of Abbottobad, the 7.6 magnitude earthquake caused devastation during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
